Laurance "Skip" V. Jewett

Orwell – Laurance “Skip” V. Jewett, age 83, died on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at UH Geauga Hospital.  He was born in Greene on May 1, 1934 the son of Levi W. and Jessie (Prekel) Jewett.

Skip was married to Donna Lee Jewett on June 29, 1958. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the US Army. He retired from Lubrizol Corporation after 35 years of service. Skip enjoyed restoring old cars and tractors. He also enjoyed watching the NASCAR races and the Cleveland Indians.  

Survivors include his wife Donna Lee Jewett of Orwell, son Bob (Debbie) Kepiro of Hartsgrove, two daughters Kathleen Kepiro of Orwell, and Chery (Andre’) Kezdy of Louisville, KY, four grandchildren Heather Stephens, Robin Kassay, Claire and Annelise Kezdy.

Preceded in death by his parents Levi W. and Jessie Jewett.

A funeral service officiated by Rev. James Stanley will be held at the Paine Funeral Home, Inc., 140 E. Main Street, Orwell, OH 44076 on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at the Orwell Twp. North Cemetery.  Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Monday, August 7, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00pm. Condolences may be made at painefuneralhome.com
