Tammy Elizabeth Fillinger

Chardon – Tammy Elizabeth Fillinger, age 47, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, October 7, 2022. She was the daughter of Michael Brent and Kathleen Sue (Rosipko) McDowell born in Painesville on October 14, 1974. Tammy married Thomas R. Fillinger on August 19, 1996. Together they raised a combined family including Katrina McDowell, Johanna (Sickafoose) Fillinger, Scott, Shaina and Trevor Fillinger. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, Carson, Kaiden, Autumn and Wyllow. Tammy enjoyed nature, hiking trails, the beach, and doing crafts with the family. She especially loved being in Florida on the beach with salt water in her hair. Her sense of humor was an endearing trait and accepting people for who they were. She could be very opinionated, outspoken and protective of her family. Tammy is survived by her mother Kathleen, children Katrina McDowell, Scott, Shaina, Trevor Fillinger, siblings Tina (Mark) Duffala, Theresa (Shawn) Fogarty, Michael McDowell and four grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter Johanna Fillinger, father Michael McDowell and former spouse John Sickafoose.

A memorial service officiated by Rev James Stanley will be held at Paine Funeral Home, Inc., 140 E. Main Street, Orwell, OH 44076 on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at 7:00 p.m., visitation will be held prior from 5:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. The family requests that you make a memorial contribution for her grandchild Wyllow in care of Thomas R.
