Sylvia J. Vecchio

Cortland – Sylvia J. Vecchio, age 90, formally of N. Bloomfield, passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Community Skilled Health Care Center in Warren. She was born on August 13, 1932 in Cleveland the daughter of James and Jean (Piloth) Johnson. Sylvia retired from Bloomfield-Mespo School District as a cook, she also owned and operated Main Street Pizza in Orwell. Sylvia enjoyed cooking, reading, camping, playing bingo, going to the casino, and spending time with her family at cookouts and going on vacation. She will be greatly remembered and sadly missed by her loving family, sons James Sr. (Jill), Michael (Nancy) and Kathy Vecchio, sister Margret Repasi, grandchildren, Christina (Fred), James Jr., Timothy (Amanda), Racheal, Melanie (Justin), Eric and 14 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers George and Mike and sister Mary Ann.

A public visitation will be held at the Paine Funeral Home, Inc., 140 E. Main Street, Orwell, OH 44076 on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A private funeral service officiated by Pastor Jody Baker will be held the following day with burial to follow at Brownwood Cemetery, N. Bloomfield, Township. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mahoning Valley Second Harvest, 2805 Salt Springs Rd., Youngstown, OH 44509.
