Stephen F. Magda

Lenox Twp. – Stephen F. Magda, age 84, passed away on January 6, 2022 at UH Geauga Medical Center. He was born in Cleveland on April 10, 1937 the son of John S. and Elizabeth (Shovitz) Magda. Stephen was married to Anna L. (Bugelski) Magda on June 11, 1955. He worked for Dairymens of Cleveland for 31 years and was a member of Sacred Heart Church and Knights of Columbus. Stephen was a Grand Knight and received the Knights of Columbus, Catholic Man of the Year award in 2006 from the Youngstown Diocese. He enjoyed going to casinos, reverse raffles, wineries, fish fries and volunteering at the church. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his children Cynthia Sanders, Stephen R. (Kathy) Magda, Dennis (Linda) Magda, Victoria Magda and Paul (Trina) Magda, 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, siblings Richard (Zona), Frank and Emery (Carolyn) Magda, and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife Anna L. Magda, siblings Margaret, Julius, Mary, Rose, Eugene and John.

A funeral mass officiated by Rev. David I. Bridling will be held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 3049 State Rt., 45, P.O. Box 310, Rock Creek, OH 44084 on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. The family requests that instead of sending flowers please make memorial contributions to Sacred Heart Church.
