Ruth Ann Deis

Roaming Shores – Ruth Ann Deis, age 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 26, 2023 with family by her side.  Born on September 26, 1944 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Loving mother of Erik Ellis (Gina) and Christine Ellis (late Mike) and grandmother of Andy, Paige, Samantha, Tracy and Lillie, Renee, Evan, Emma, Matthew, Andrew, Cassy, Danielle and Emma. Beloved wife of William K. Deis (deceased) and previous marriage to David Ellis (deceased). Beloved daughter of Alvin and Margaret (Pfeiffer) Meyer (both deceased). Loving sister of Alvin (late Mary Lou), Julia, (Late Steve) Venter, Cathy (late Ron) Rakel, Patricia (Late Ron) Jones, James Meyer, Tom Meyer (deceased), Barbra Eglseder (deceased), Danny Meyer (deceased), Lou Ann Shell (deceased), and Joseph Meyer (deceased). Ruth Ann was very involved in her church and enjoyed puzzles, gardening, and spending time with her family.  Ruth Ann worked taking care of children starting with Head start then opening her own in home daycare.  She provided care for many children for 30+ years. 

A Funeral Mass officiated by Rev. David I. Bridling will be held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 3049 State Rt. 45, Rock Creek, OH 44084 on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., visitation will take place prior to mass from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Burial of her ashes will take place at a later date. The family is requesting that you make memorial contributions to Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, instead of sending flowers.  Services have been entrusted to Paine Funeral Home, Inc., Orwell, Ohio.
