Robert J Snyder

Geneva – Robert J. Snyder, age 71, died at UH Cleveland Medical Center on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, with his family by his side.

He was born February 4, 1949 in Cleveland, Ohio; the son of Robert E. and Mary M. (Peterka) Snyder. Robert married Yvonne Parker on June 1, 1974. They just celebrated 46 years of marriage.

Robert graduated from Grand Valley High School in 1967 and received a degree in Business Administration in 1971 from Mount Union College. Robert spent the last 20 years of his career as a Controller for O & P Oil and Gas Inc. in Andover, Ohio, retiring in 2014.

Robert enjoyed spending time with his family including his grandson, playing golf, watching the Cleveland Browns, and wood working.  He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Rock Creek, Ohio.

Robert is survived by his wife, two children: Jennifer (John) Snyder of Franklin, Tennessee and Wendy Snyder of Painesville, Ohio; as well as one grandchild Jack Snyder Houck.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1982, mother in 1993, and brother Thomas Snyder in 2012.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic a private Funeral Mass will be officiated by Rev. John P. Madden at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 103 N. Maple Street, Orwell, OH 44076 and burial will follow at Orwell Twp. Cemetery.
