May 20, 1956 ~ July 21, 2023 (age 67) 67 Years Old

Obituary

Rock Creek - Robert (Bob) Kepiro, age 67, passed away July 21, 2023 at his home.  Bob was the son of Eugene Kepiro and Donna Pentek, grandson of Gay and Katherine Kepiro born May 20, 1956.  Bob married his wife Debra (Debbie) Hensley May 23, 1992. Bob loved life, his family, and the farm he was raised on with passion.  This same passion carried over to his job as a structural Ironworker for Local 17 which lasted 45 years until his retirement.    He was proud to be an Ironworker, loved and respected the men he worked with. Growing up on his Grandparents farm in Hartsgrove Twp. fueled his passion for collecting and restoring antique tractors.  His meticulous eye for detail resulted in collectibles that looked like they rolled off the showroom floor.   His last project, an IH806, includes three toolboxes, galvanized steps to climb on the 10’ behemoth, handles, wine cupholder, LED lights, a GPS, seat for his wife, a red rider wagon body for storage and many other fabricated bells and whistles. Bob’s interests were as varied as they were numerous.  He enjoyed repairing and rebuilding McCulloch chain saws with an accumulation of over 35 saws.  Having a lifelong love of music, he taught himself how to play the guitar accumulating numerous guitars and amplifiers and becoming an excellent amateur guitarist.  Originally a beer drinker, Bob switched to wine when introduced to homemade wine and the art of making wine.  Bob’s persistence in this resulted in several ribbons at the Ashtabula County Fair including a first place, blue ribbon. Bob was meticulous about his yard which can be seen from google earth boasting his 35’ name mowed on the side of the hill.
