Norman Richard Tilton

Rock Creek- Norman Richard Tilton, age 94 passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday August 30, 2022 at Geneva UH, Geneva OH. He was born on May 13, 1928 in East Trumbull, the son of Clarence and Gladys (Wheeler) Tilton of East Trumbull, Ohio. Norman and Phyllis (McClintock) Tilton were married on December 29, 1951. Norman was a United States Navy Veteran and was employed by Cleveland Carpenters Union, receiving a fifty-year pin for his years of employment. He enjoyed bowling, horseshoes, trips to the casino, and dancing the jitterbug and polkas with his wife. He is survived by his children Linda (Lynn) White, Deborah (Ronald) Herman, and Thomas (Lisa)Tilton, grandchildren, Robert (Anna) Smith, Ryan (Melana) Smith, Aaron (Laura May) Smith, Veronica (Ryan) Wilkinson, Gregory (Michelle) Herman, Jeffrey Tilton, Jessica (Rob Shepard) Tilton, Daniel (Shannon) Tilton, great grandchildren, Kyrie, Christian, Anthony, Robbie, Michael, Calista, Jasmine, Austin, Kayleigh, Tristan, Carson, Lucas, Audrina, Paige, Chase, Aubrey, Natalie, Hayden, Hayzel, and Aaron Jr. and five great-great grandchildren, sisters Betty Pelton and Joan Sheldon. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Phyllis who passed away on August 15, 2011, son-in-law Robert Smith, infant granddaughter Angela Tilton, sisters Geraldine, Marjorie, Lillian and Helen.

Visitation will be held at the Paine Funeral Home, Inc., 140 E. Main Street, Orwell, OH  44076 on Friday, September 2, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The funeral service officiated by Pastor William McMinn will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. U.S. Navy Honors and burial will follow at Rock Creek Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Morgan Hose Firefighters Association, P.O.
