Michael R. Williams

Colebrook- Michael R. Williams, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 16, 2023 at UH-Geauga Hospital.

He was born on May 19, 1964 the son of Thomas and Dorothy (nee: Schultz) Williams. Michael graduated from Grand Valley High School Class of 1982. He worked for many years at Lee’s Orwell Tire and more recently worked as a driver for the local Amish, a job he enjoyed immensely. Growing up he was a member of the Windsor United Methodist Church.

Michael enjoyed watching NASCAR and football. He also enjoyed grilling and socializing with friends and family. He loved his family and especially cherished being a grandpa to Oliver.

He will be missed by his son, Nicholas Williams; grandson, Oliver; and his siblings, Norma (Anthony) Chunyo, William Williams, Wendy (Ray) Smith, Sara Allen, Janet Nelson, Kathy (Steve) Yonce, Ginny (Steve) Cole, Gale Bennett, Debra Peitz and Richard Williams;  sister-in-law, Tammy Williams; and many, many nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Dorothy Williams; and his siblings, Dale Williams, David Williams, and Thomas Williams.

A memorial service will be Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 6:00PM at Paine Funeral Home, Inc., 140 E. Main St., Orwell., with Rev. Jack Childers, officiating. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5PM until time of service at 6PM.  Private burial of ashes at Windsor Cemetery, with his parents and brother.
