Colebrook Twp. - Melvin “Pete” P. Miller, age 70 passed away on April 4, 2023 at Hospice House in Cleveland. He was born on June 3, 1952 in Warren the son of Peter E. and Clara (Byler) Miller. Pete was married to Mary Lou (Messer) Miller on November 28, 1992. He was a heavy equipment operator for many years at Samco Sand & Gravel and BDM Warren Recycling. Pete was involved in the demolition of the old steel mill in Warren. Also, he helped out at the E.O.U.V. Club in Novelty and taxied Amish. He enjoyed playing on the local horseshoe league, deer hunting, scrapping, snowmobiling, target shooting, talking with family, friends and anyone that would listen. Pete will finally be reunited with his longtime friend Jimmy, enjoying great company and doing what we all know they liked to do. He had two sides; one was ornery and the other was an amicable. We will all love and miss you until we meet again, Mary Lou, Lorraine and Michael. Pete is survived by his wife Mary Lou Miller, daughter Lorraine Miller, son Michael Miller, siblings Sara (Ammon) Miller, Joseph (Lavina) Miller, Albert Miller, John (Emma) Miller, sister-in-law Emma Jane Miller, several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Peter E. and Clara Miller, brothers Steve and Eli Miller.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service officiated by Pastors Bob and Lori Coleman will be held on Friday, April 7, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at the Paine Funeral Home, Inc., 140 E. Main Street, Orwell, OH 44076. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mesopotamia Twp., OH. Also, on Saturday, April 8th at the Colebrook Lounge, 817 U.S. 322, Orwell, OH will be hosting a Horseshoes Tournament at 12 noon and a memorial for Pete at 1:00 p.m. Condolences may be made at painefuneralhome.com
