Margaret P. Johns

Bristolville – Margaret P. Johns “Peggy”, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at St. Joseph Hospital in Warren. She was born October 1, 1932 in Philipsburg, PA the daughter of George P. and Laura Jean (Wilson) Maruschak. Peggy was married to George “Bud” Johns on February 1, 1952 and shared 55 years of marriage together. She was a homemaker who was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church and enjoyed quilting and knitting. Peggy had a loving relationship with all her grandchildren and especially loved hearing her granddaughters Cassie and Trishna sing. She also had a special bond with her great grandson Drayden. She is survived by her children Polly Johns of Orwell, Georgiana (Jack) Helmick, Tim (Janie) Johns and Joe Johns all of Bristolville, Becky Johns of Audubon, MN, Lori (Rick) Dines of Leavittsburg, siblings  Bill (Barb) Maruschak and Jeanette Maruschak of PA, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, five brothers, and two sisters.

A funeral mass officiated by Rev. John P. Madden will be held at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 103 N. Maple Street, Orwell, OH 44076 on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, 11:00 a.m., visitation will take place at church prior to mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Sager Cemetery, Bristol Township. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Church and family condolences can be submitted at painefuneralhome.com.
