Leah J. Burlinski

Leah J. Burlinski, age 98, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 15, 2023, at Ohman Family Living at Blossom in Huntsburg. She was born on August 31, 1925, in Windsor, the daughter of Spencer and Bessie (Beckwith) Stetson. She married Ben Burlinski on November 15, 1952 in Orwell. Leah worked during the second world war in Kent as a riveter on the tail section of aircraft destined for service across Europe during that conflict and afterwards worked at Johnson Rubber in Middlefield as well as Snap-Out in Chardon before raising three children in Windsor. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. Leah is survived by her children Tom (Robin) Burlinski, Tim Burlinski, Cheryl Peabody; grandchildren Tara (John) Rumancik, Shaunna (Chris) Brown; five great grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Ben Burlinski and sister Ruth Reynolds. Leah was also known to have a love of all animals and had many over her long lifetime.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations on Leah’s behalf to Windsor Twp Fire Department, Ohman Family Living at Blossom, Ashtabula County Animal Protective League, Country Neighbor Program.

There will be a brief graveside service October 21, 2023 all those who wish to attend should assemble at the Windsor United Methodist Church at 11:45 a.m. where the procession will travel to the Windsor Township Cemetery. After the service has concluded all in attendance are welcome to join the family back at the Methodist Church where there will be a luncheon prepared by the ladies of the church.
