North Kingsville – Laura Jean (Wolfe) Shank, age 89, passed away at The Villa At The Lake in Conneaut on Friday, June 21, 2019. She was born in Colebrook on November 19, 1929 the daughter of Harry and Hazel (Pittman) Wolfe.
Laura was married to Ralph E. Shank on July 16, 1947. She was homemaker, and outstanding mother and grandmother. Laura was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kingsville and previously attended Gageville UMC and Conneaut Church of God. She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter No. 12 and sang with the Starlighters. Laura enjoyed going for walks with her friends and feeding and watching the birds. She especially enjoyed the Bluebirds.
She is survived by her children Lois M. (Karl Salinas) Blank, Beverly K. (Richard) Everett, Edwin R. Shank and Daniel E. (Lisa) Shank, sisters Sally Tomsic, Donna Alpine, grandchildren Chris (Debbie) and Scott (Sharon) Blank, Ryan and Mark Everett, Kristen (Chris) Oliver, John, Joshua, Jeremy, Justin Shank and 10 Great Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband Ralph E. Shank, brothers Howard Wolfe, Fred Merritt, Charlie and Homer Wolfe, sisters Dorothy Wright, Betty Wiser, Peggy McCroskey.
A funeral service officiated by Pastor David Hines will be held at the First Baptist Church of Kingsville, 6003 OH-193, Kingsville, OH 44048 on Monday, July 1, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Gageville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church prior to the funeral service from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hope Lodge, 11432 Mayfield Rd., Cleveland, OH 44106-2364, please note Laura’s name on contribution. Envelopes will be available at the church or look-up Cleveland Hope Lodge online. Condolences may be made at painefuneralhome.com
