Laura Housel

Rome Twp – Laura Housel, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at her home. She was born on August 22, 1946 in Kanawha Co., WV, the daughter of Burt and Pearl (Petry) Johnson. Laura married Theodore W. Housel Jr. on November 23, 1968. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal Community Church. Laura was very involved in the church’s outreach program and enjoyed fishing and spending time with the grandchildren. Laura is survived by her children William Brown Jr., Daniel Paul (Pam) Brown, Kellie Sue (Kevin) Carr, Wayne Edward (Lori) Housel, sister Mary Ida Myers, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Theodore W. Housel Jr., seven brothers and one sister.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Scott Ardary will be held at the Pentecostal Community Church, 5348 Peck Road, Jefferson. OH 44047 (Rt. 6 one mile west of Rt. 11). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with a private burial to follow at Sager Memorial Cemetery, Bristol Twp.
