Hartsgrove Twp. – Josephine “Pheanie” Sturgill, age 75, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021 at UH Cleveland Medical Center. She was born on September 6, 1945 in Hartsgrove Twp., the daughter of Joseph and Hazel (Salway) Tryon. Pheanie was married to Paul Sturgill on October 9, 1965 and retired from Kennametal in Orwell where she was a press and grinder operator. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed dancing, roller skating and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband Paul Sturgill, children Pamela (Rick) Adams, Kevin and Michael Sturgill, sisters Elizabeth Tryon, May Biddle, brother Joseph Tryon, grandchildren Brandy, Shawn, Brett, Jordan and Adam, great grandchildren Jonathan, Ava and Dante, many nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.
Due to the safety of everyone the family will be postponing a committal service which will be held at Hartsgrove Twp. South Cemetery. Hopefully, this can be conducted this spring or summer.
