Joann Smith

Orwell – Joann Smith, age 78, formally of Euclid, passed away at UH Geauga Hospital on Friday, July 8, 2022. She was born on May 22, 1944 in Cleveland the daughter of Edward and Mary (Skerl) Baitt. Joann married Billy Stewart Smith on October 2, 1965. She retired from Gateway Retirement home in Euclid where she worked as a receptionist. Joann loved horses, her cat and dog, crocheting, flowers, gardening and spending time with her family. She is survived by her sons Greg Smith, Jeff (Bonnie) Smith, William Smith, Bob Smith, grandchildren Claire Grimes, Mitchell Smith and the Sapp and Padavick families, several niece and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents and siblings Marie, Margie and Edward.

A visitation will be held at the Paine Funeral Home, Inc., 140 E. Main Street, Orwell, OH 44076 on Friday, July 22, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. followed by a concluding prayer service conducted by Rev. David I Bridling.
