Joan M Hines

Orwell Twp. – Joan M. Hines, age 79, passed away at her home on Sunday, July 29, 2018. She was born on May 6, 1939 in Cleveland the daughter of Anthony and Nancy (Goluk) Waskalis-Martin

Joan was married to Myron Benjamin Hines on July 27, 1967. She was employed at API, Kennametal for 12 years, and babysat for many families.

She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, watching the Cleveland Indians and NASCAR. Joan was known as Aunt Joan to many of the children that she babysat over the years.

Survivors include her husband Myron B. Hines of Orwell, children Todd (Kim) Hines of North Royalton, Myron G. (Lori) Hines of Wadsworth and Nancy (Mike) Dudinsky of Orwell, four grandchildren Ashley, Adam, McKenzi and Tyler Hines, Great Grandchild Mikayla Goforth, siblings Carol Russek, Susan Gmitra,  Luann Rocco, Tom Martin and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents, sister Gail Waskalis, brothers Frank and Joseph Derezick.

A Memorial Service officiated by Rev. John Gehring-Anders will be held at the Orwell North Presbyterian Church, 135 N. Maple St., Orwell, OH 44076 on Saturday, August 25th at 12:00pm, visitation will take place prior to the service starting at 10:30 am

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital  38101-9908. Services handled by Paine Funeral Home, Inc., Orwell, OH. Condolences may be made at painefuneralhome.com.
