Jeanette Marie Bower

Orwell – Jeanette Marie Bower, age 66, passed away at UH Geauga Hospital on Monday, December 29, 2025. She was born on January 12, 1959 in Columbus, the daughter of Joseph and Helen (Drozd) Gates. Jeanette married Kevin Bower on November 10, 1979. She was employed by Grand Valley Schools for 32 years and was the Food Service Supervisor. She was a member of St. Mary Church and Daughters of Mary. Jeanette enjoyed being with her grandchildren, family and friends, swimming, and playing cards. She especially liked taking vacations in Ogunquit Maine, collecting snowman figurines and a huge Cleveland Browns Fan. Jeanette is survived by her husband Kevin Bower, children Craig (Candice) Bower, Jillian (Paul) Corbin, grandchildren Chandler, Lucas, Crosby, Cy, Ellen, Clive, sister Judith, brothers John and Jim. Preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Helen, sister Julaine and brother Joseph. 

A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 103 N. Maple Street, Orwell, OH 44076. Visitation will take place on Monday, January 5, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Paine Funeral Home, Inc., 140 E. Main Street, Orwell, OH 44076. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contribution to Kevin Bower. The funds will be sent to GV Schools Delinquent Lunch Fund. Condolences may be made at painefunralhome.com
