WINDSOR
James F. Havel, 82, passed away on June 3, 2018 at UH Geauga hospital. He was the son of the late Ignatius and Julia (Elencek) Havel, born on September 17, 1935 in Windsor. James was married to Mary C. Byrne Havel on October 3, 1959.
James was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Transportation Research and Development (TRADCOM), then returned home and worked as a construction superintendent in Cleveland, OH for 34 years.
He is survived by his wife, his sister Florence Larned, three sons; James Jr., Mark (Michelle), and John (Billie Jo) Havel, two daughters; Renae Stango, and Kathleen (Paul) Nichols, 9 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
James is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Charles, George, and Methius, one sister, Irene, and one granddaughter, Jessica Havel.
Funeral Services officiated by Rev. John Gehring-Anders will be held on Thursday, June 7, 10:00am at Paine Funeral Home, Inc. 140 E. Main St. Orwell, OH 44076
Visitation will take place from 5:00pm – 7:00pm, Wednesday, June 6 at the funeral home. Burial will take place immediately following the service at the Windsor Twp. Cemetery, Windsor, OH.
