James R. Bean

Rock Creek --- James R. Bean, age 67, passed away at his home on Thursday, February 18, 2021. He was born on October 25, 1953 in Ashtabula Ohio to Forrest E. Bean and Gladys M. (Bailey)Bean. James served in the U.S. Air Force between 1972 – 1976 at Wurtsmith Air Force base in Michigan. After  finishing his service James returned to Ohio to be with his family. James tried a few jobs before settling in at International Paper in Madison Ohio for 20+ years before his retirement in 2020. James spent most of his time with friends and family, from the local VFW to camping trips with his grandchildren. He always had a smile on whenever talking about his grandchildren and always looked forward to the next time they could go four wheeling together.

James is survived by two children; Ryan Bean and Kristin Smith. His seven brothers and sisters: Frances Bean of Wooster, Dorothy Bean Schoonover of Wooster, Betty (Kenneth) McElroy of Orwell , David Bean of Rock Creek, Gail Bean of Rock Creek,  George ”Billy”(Panzie) Bean, Kathleen “Kathy”(Jim) Rushia of New Lyme, His three Grandchildren Gage, Wade, and Jackson. Along with many nieces and nephews that made up his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant sister Marilyn Bean, brother in-law Donald Schoonover, and sister in-law Millie Lambert.

The family will be holding a celebration of life at a later date in spring when allowed. A follow up announcement will be made with the time and date details. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Ryan Bean, 2788 Forman Rd, Rock Creek, OH 44084 to be used for the celebration of life. Service Announced -  A Celebration of Life will be held at Rock Creek Conservation Club, 3407 Shaffer Road, Rock Creek, OH 44048 on Saturday, May 15th from 2:00pm-5:00pm. Casual dress permitted.
