Jacob Glen (Jake) Ramsey

Colebrook – Jacob “Jake” Glen Ramsey, age 39, formally of Geneva, passed away on April 14, 2023 at UH Cleveland. He was born on September 5, 1983 in Mayfield Heights the son of Wayne Alen Ramsey and Betsy June (Bunnell) Looby. Jake worked for Mayfran International in Cleveland as a welder for over 10 years. He had a great love of the outdoors that was the essence of everything that made him who he was from a very young age and throughout his life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, archery and practicing his marksmanship, smoking meats and cooking wild game. He also liked welding and building things. He especially liked to spend time with his soulmate Janis, cousin Hugh and his son JJ. Jake is survived by his son Jameson John “JJ” Ramsey, parents Wayne (Dee) Ramsey, Betsy J. (Shane) Looby, significant other Janis Benton, siblings Sarah (Kenny) Young, Shane (Stephanie) Ramsey, Sophie Looby, two nieces, a nephew and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother Mac Looby, and grandparents.

Visitation will be will be held at the Paine Funeral Home, Inc., 140 E. Main Street, Orwell, Ohio 44076 on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. A brief concluding service officiated by Ron Chutas will take place at 7:00 p.m. Condolence may be made at painefuneralhome.com
