Howard Edward Potter

Hartsgrove Twp. – Howard Edward Potter, age 84 passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, November 15, 2021. He was born on May 26, 1937 in Hartsgrove the son of Harold Wayne and Charlotte F. (Marrison) Potter. Howard was married to Shirley Ann (Baker) Potter on September 3, 1960. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving for seven years. He enjoyed woodworking, mowing the lawn and was a railroad enthusiast. Howard was a member of Hartsgrove Community Church, Hartsgrove Masonic Lodge #397 now part of Triandria Lodge #780, Grand River Chapter #104, Geneva Council #145, Columbian Commdary #52, K.Y.C.H. OH Priory #52, Order of Eastern Star – Hartsgrove Lily Chapter #21 now part of Covered Bridge Chapter #591, Scottish Rite – Valley of Cleveland and the White Shrine. He is survived by his wife Shirley Potter, children Sandra (Potter) Beals, Richard Potter, grandchildren Jennifer Beals, Katlann (Matthew) Commins, great grandchildren Joseph and Rowan Commins.Preceded in death by his parents Harold and Charotte Potter, sister “Charlene (Potter) Baird and brother-in-law Gerald Baird.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Robin L. Stanley will take place at the Paine Funeral Home, Inc., 140 E. Main Street, Orwell, OH 44076 on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Hartsgrove North Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, November 22, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. At 6:30 p.m. we will be conducting a Masonic Lodge Service.
