Eleanor Hovanick Obituary

Rome Twp. – Eleanor M. Hovanick, age 96, passed away at her granddaughter’s home in Geneva on December 28, 2021. She was born on August 30, 1925 in Cleveland the daughter of Charles and Amalia Kovacs. She was married to Michael Hovanick on October 31, 1944. Eleanor enjoyed gardening, reading and doing word search puzzles. She worked for KD Manufacturing in Orwell for 21 years. Her survivors include her daughter Carol (Roy) Mohr, son Michael C. Hovanick Jr., nephew Clayton “Skip” Kovacs, grandchildren Michele (Denny) Boiarski, Lucy (Rich) Hovanick and Michael S. Hovanick and five great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughters Anne Zimmer and Peggy Rodríguez, brothers Edward and Adolph “Chuck” Kovacs, daughter-in-law Margaret Hovanick.

A private committal service of her ashes will be held at a later date at Rome Center Cemetery. Condolences may be made at painefuneralhome.com
