Elaine J. Blaze

Rock Creek - Elaine J. Blaze, age 80, passed away at her home on Sunday, August 1, 2021. She was born on May 7, 1941 in Cleveland the daughter of Michael and Eugenia “Machioch” Funtash. Elaine was married to Ronald Blaze on August 31, 1963. She worked for 40 years as a waitress and retired from Charlies Crab in Beechwood. She enjoyed gardening, reading and volunteering at Country Neighbor Program. Elaine is survived by her daughter Carrie Bodnar, brother Robert (Terry) Funtash, granddaughter Melissa Bodnar, great grandchildren Talia Bodnar, DiMarco and Tavier Lucius and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Blaze, daughters April and Denise Blaze, sister Sandra Barnett, and brother Mike Funtash. Visitation will take place at the Paine Funeral Home, Inc., 140 E. Main Street, Orwell OH, 44076 on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., at 4:00 p.m. a funeral service officiated by Rev. James Stanley will take place. Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Northfield Macedonia Cemetery, 9804 Olde Eight Rd., Northfield, OH 44067.
