Dorothy White

Dorothy E. White, a long time resident of Windsor, Ohio, passed away at her home on Monday, January 23, 2023 at the age of 82.  Dorothy was born May 6, 1940 in Swanton, Ohio.  She was the daughter of the late Robert and Edna Fuller. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Cory White; son, Gordon “Paul” White (Doreen), seven grandchildren, Hannah White, Marissa White, Dominic White, Marcene Bragg, Alanna Bragg, Erin Bragg, and Luis Guevara; and her faithful companions, Audie and Petrie. Dorothy was a career teacher having taught at Grand Valley Windsor School, in Virginia, and in Okinawa, Japan.  In her early days at Windsor school, she was known as Miss Dorothy. Dorothy was active in the Windsor United Methodist Church where she was a long time member of the choir and loved to teach Sunday School to the children.  She was also a Girl Scout Leader and was active in her grandchildren’s lives.  She loved baking them treats and sewing them quilts, pillows, and hand embroidered Christmas stockings.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing Sudoku puzzles. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Cathy McIlvaine will take place at Windsor United Methodist Church, 5161 Route 322, Windsor, Ohio 44099 on Monday, January 30, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The family is requesting to please make memorial contributions to Windsor United Methodist Church. Services have been entrusted to Paine Funeral Home, Inc. Orwell, Ohio. Condolences may be made at painefuneralhome.com
