Doris Aileen Stinson

Doris Aileen Stinson, age 91, passed away, at her son’s home in Colebrook Twp. on March 4, 2020. She was born on September 28, 1928 in Warren the daughter of Wibur B. and Nettie V. (Yunkman) Hammond. She was married to Robert C. Stinson, Sr. on June 7, 1947. Doris retired from 17 years of service at Automatic Venders servicing Kennametal of Orwell. She was a  member of the Nazarene Church in Orwell and Greene; where she served throughout her lifetime in a variety of roles  including  worship leader, Sunday school superintendent and missions director. Her hobbies were sewing and crocheting. Doris was well known for her delicious donuts, cinnamon rolls and pies. Survivors include her four children, Robert C. (Rosanne) Stinson, Jr., of Colebrook, Aileen A. Hammond of Canton, Thomas J. (Pepper) Stinson of Maysville, KY, Jane (Chet) King of Blythewood, SC, brothers Raymond Hammond of Kinsman, Ronald Hammond of Nyack, NY, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Richard and William Hammond and sister Betty Gregory. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Jim Elkin will be held 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at the Paine Funeral Home, Inc., 140 E. Main Street, Orwell, OH 44076. Burial will follow at Colebrook Township South Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 9, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Church of the Nazarene, 17001 Prairie Star Parkway, Lenexa, KS 66220.
