Conrad P. Brenkert

Orwell - Conrad Brenkert, age 88, of Orwell, Ohio, died on September 22, 2024. He was the husband of Roswitha Brenkert. They shared over 30 years together. Born in Brooklyn, NY, on July 18, 1936, he was the son of Albert and Mary Brenkert. Prior to his retirement, Conrad worked for many years as a mill inspector at Copperweld, an administrator and lifetime fellow at Cortland Moose Lodge, also he served his country as a United States airman. He was a member of Saint Mary Catholic Church. Conrad enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening, as well as traveling; he traveled to 49 states with his wife. He was quick-witted, and had a great sense of humor. Conrad was preceded in death by brothers, Edward and Albert Brenkert, sister, Geraldine Van Vort, and daughter, Cathy. He is survived by his wife, sons and daughters-in-law, stepchildren and their spouses, sister, Irene Perkins, many grandchildren, and great-children. 

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024, 11:00 am at St. Mary Church, 103 N. Maple Street, Orwell, Ohio 44076. Burial and military honors will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.  Visitation will take place at church starting at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary Church or Hospice of the Western Reserve. Services have been entrusted to Paine Funeral Home, Inc., Orwell, Ohio.
