Cody Alan Carver

Cody Alan Carver, age 29, lost his battle with addiction on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 in Windsor, Ohio.

Born January 22, 1993 in Chardon, Ohio, he was the adopted son of Laura and Scott Dowling also of Windsor.

A true outdoorsman, Cody loved hunting and fishing with Scott, spending time at camp in West Hickory target shooting, making fires and taking in the breathtaking views of the mountain. He adored animals including his cat Grady and his beloved husky Bandit. He loved taking Bandit on long walks and going to area dog parks. Cody was an avid coin collector. He and Scott loved to watch coin shows and scour pawn shops looking for the rarest find. He was a member of the Chardon Fraternal Order of Eagles #2261. A favorite memory of Cody is him learning how to collect and process maple sap. He loved maple syrup. Cody loved to laugh and had a kind soul, always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be greatly missed.

Cody is survived by parents, Laura and Scott Dowling of Windsor; biological father, Terry (Paula) Carver of Cleveland; biological mother, Kandace Perkins of Brunswick; sisters, Jessie (Josh) Duncan of Concord Township, Megan Carver of Painesville; brother, Clayton Dowling; grandfather Frederick W. Carver of Goodyear, Arizona; grandmother, Lucky Dowling of Orwell; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert and Linda Patton of Chardon.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022 from 6:00-7:00 pm at Paine Funeral Home, Inc., 140 E. Main Street, Orwell, OH 44076. Service will be held immediately after at 7:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite dog park.
