Carl Louis Olah Sr.

Orwell – Carl Louis Olah Sr., age 86, passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 with his family by his side. He was born on March 7, 1937 in New Lyme the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Violet (Merk) Olah. Carl was married to Carollyn J (Irvine) Olah on February 19, 1957. He worked as a Steel Worker at Copperweld for 30 plus years. He had a love for farming and at one time worked for the Village of Orwell. He was a member of Orwell North Presbyterian Church, Orwell Ruritans Club and Orwell Fire Department. He enjoyed bowling, wood working, collecting various items, loved to play Santa and a tinker of all trades. Carl is survived by his wife of 66 years, Carollyn J. Olah, children Judith (Dwayne) Hayes Sr., Kathleen Barbe, Valorie Olah, Rebecca (Russell) Moody, William (Leigh) Olah, siblings Paul Olah Sr., Elizabeth Hamilton, grandchildren Heather Olah, Tonya (Anthony) Kromer Jr., Dwayne (Carrie) Hayes Jr., Kimberly (William) Olah Clark, Rhonda (Jake) Carr, Willliam Simmons III, Scott Olah, Samantha Olah, Tabitha (Paul) Stewart, Stacy (Andrew) Goddard, Steven Olah, William Olah Jr., Ryan (Mitch) Paintin, great grandchildren Shaianne, Chayton, Kailey (Steven) Adkins, Anthony, Amari, Kennedy, Brodie, Macy, Tatiana, Khloe, Colton, Olivia, Jaxson, Tayden, Rocklyn, Lakelyn, Mason, Nicholas, Mikael, great great grandchildren Baylee, Chayton Jr., Declyn, Brynlee, Lyam and Raelynn. Preceded in death by his parents, son Carl Olah Jr., brothers Joseph, Alex, Steve, grandson Christopher, son-in-law Dave Barbe and great great grandson Ayden.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Tim May will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Paine Funeral Home, Inc. 140 E. Main Street, Orwell, OH 44076 at 11:00 a.m., followed by burial at Orwell North Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, April 17, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
