Rock Creek – Brenda Martin Claycomb, age 63, loving and affectionately known by her family as “Aunt B” was born on April 23, 1956 the daughter of Virgil and Joyce (Bowen) Martin. She departed this earthly life for her heavenly life after a long fought and courageous battle with cancer on January 14, 2020 with her loving family by her side.
A lifelong resident of Rock Creek, Brenda married William K. Claycomb on July 24, 1993, who survives her and cared for her with great devotion during her final days. She worked for the State of Ohio as a Driver License Examiner and was a member of the former Rock Creek United Methodist Church
Brenda enjoyed her free time reading, sewing, cross stitch and visiting her sisters and going antiquing. Her greatest joy was spending time with her nieces and nephews, especially her great nephews Gaige and R.J.
She was preceded into heaven by her mom, Joyce B. Martin and youngest brother G. Scott Martin.
Brenda is survived by her husband William K. Claycomb, dad Virgil (Beverly) Martin, sisters Kathie (Randy) Williams, Gail (Ken) Davis, Kelli (Steve) Alspaugh, brother Billy Martin, brother and sister-in-law Jim and Jean Claycomb, extra special niece Jenna Martin who loved and cared for her. Also her many nieces and nephews who have many precious memories to cherish of their “Aunt B.”
The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Mohammad Varghai, the Hospice Team of the Western Reserve and many prayer warriors who continually prayed for her and her family.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor David Miller will be held at the Paine Funeral Home, Inc., 140 E. Main Street, Orwell, OH 44076 on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 12:00 p.m., a private committal of her ashes will take place at Union Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held prior to services from 10:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. Please follow the family’s wishes and make memorial contributions to William Claycomb to be used for the family’s charities of choice.
