Bonnie K Guerine

Hartsgrove Twp. - Bonnie K. Guerine, age 78, died at her home peacefully on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of John and Erma (Pitonyak) Hacker born on August 31, 1944 in Warren. She was a lifelong resident of Hartsgrove. Bonnie graduated from Grand Valley High school and Youngstown University. She retired from Grand Valley Schools in 2000 after teaching for 32 years. Bonnie loved gardening, traveling, visiting with friends and reading. She especially loved spending time with family whether it was attending her grandkids’ numerous activities, getting matching tattoos with her granddaughters, or getting away on a family vacation. Family was always at the center of her plans, and she ensured that everyone celebrated birthdays and holidays together. She was quite the fan of Hallmark and had a card for every occasion just to let you know she was thinking of you. She could be quite stubborn at times, a trait that her children seem to have inherited. She was not shy about sharing her opinion, but everyone knew it came from a place of love. She followed her heart at a time when her choices were not easily accepted. Bonnie was a remarkable mother, grandmother, and wife. She will be terribly missed by all who knew her. Bonnie is survived by her wife, Patricia Neuberger, daughter, Debra Guerini (Jeffery Fedor) of Conneaut, son, David Guerini (Robin) of Aurora, brother James Geraci  (Helen) of Houston, grandchildren Cole, Alyssa, Krista, Allyson, Trey, Seth, Dylan, Samantha and Chelsea and one great-grandchild, Layla. She was preceded in death by her parents and the father of her children, David Guerine. The family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice for their end of life care. In keeping with her wishes there will be no calling hours or service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ashtabula County APL, Country Neighbor, or Crossroads Hospice.
