Orwell Twp. – Barbara Jean (Kelly) Drazba, age 89, of Orwell, Ohio, passed away July 16, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. Barbara was born November 29, 1930, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of the late Gordon and Goldie Bisbee. She was adopted by the late Bert and Luella Kelly very early in her life. Barbara married her “Hey Boy” Henry (Hank) Drazba on Valentine’s Day 1948. They built their life in Orwell and shared 67 years of marriage and three daughters. The Drazbas wintered in Port Orange, Florida, after retirement and they made many friends in both communities. Barbara worked at Lawrence Pharmacy, was a member of the Orwell United Methodist Church and participated in the Pearl Leyne Circle and Junior Women’s Club. She was also a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Port Orange, Florida. Barbara took pride in volunteering as a poll worker for many local, state and national elections. Barbara enjoyed taking care of her family, reading, dining out, playing bingo, and shopping. She had a special talent for entertaining and earned a reputation for being a considerate hostess. She treated friends like family and was well known for her favorite saying “Pish Posh” and “God Love Ya” greetings. She was a friend to all and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Barbara is survived by her children, Judy (William) Campbell of Niles, Mary Scott of Orwell and Denise (Joseph) Bodnar of Wadsworth; grandchildren, George (Tonya) Scott, Emily (Jeffery) Liplin, Abigail (Adam) Winebrenner and Elizabeth (Andrew) De Leon Soto; great-grandsons, Jack and Maverick Scott, Grayson and Hayden Rapp, Hank Liplin, Mason and Keller Winebrenner and Tommy Clemens; great-granddaughters, Halle Liplin, Nora and Phoebe De Leon Soto and Tori and Sydney Clemens; and several nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Henry, her parents; sisters Betty Mosier, Shirley DeFelice, Mary Lousie Gantz and brother Bobby Kelly. A private family funeral service is planned at Paine Funeral Home Inc., Orwell with a committal service to follow at Orwell North Cemetery.
