Alfred Wade Thomas

New Lyme Twp. – Alfred Wade Thomas, age 87, passed away on September 1, 2018 at his home. He was born on May 3, 1931 in Welcome, Alabama the son of Herman Oscar and Gladys Fannie (Hill) Thomas.

He worked for St. Luke Hospital in Cleveland in the Maintenance Department for 33 years. Alfred enjoyed camping, dancing, country music and going to auctions.

Survivors include his sons Dale (Theresa), Albert (Missy), Ronald (Robin), Scott (Jody) and Wesley Thomas, daughters, Faith Earnest, Brenda Sherman and Jody Kempski, siblings Dean (Charlie) Borum, Hulen Thomas, 28 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, wife Carole Ann Thomas and his second wife Judy Mae Thomas, brother Evles Thomas.

A funeral service will be held at the Paine Funeral Home Inc., 140 E. Main Street, Orwell, OH 44076 on Monday September 10, 2018 at 7:00pm, Visitation will be held prior to services from 5:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. A private burial will be held at the Brownville Cemetery in New Lyme Township.
