Wilma E. Bogdan

Rome Twp. – Wilma E. Bogdan, age 91, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Lantern of Saybrook. She was born on March 16, 1928 the daughter of Emil M. and Nellie A. (Johnson) Ahola. Wilma was married to Peter P. Bogdan on July 9, 1949. She was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Orwell and American Legion Post 719 Woman’s Auxiliary. She was an avid bowler and loved to cook and bake.Survivors include her children Andrew (Pat) Bogdan of Rome, Philip (Susan) Bogdan of Jefferson, Linda (Tim) Easton of Colebrook, Christine  (Glenn) Smith of Lenox, Michael Bogdan of Rome brother Gary (Karen) Ahola of Bullhead City, AZ, Gerald Ahola of Cleveland, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Don, Howard, Emil Ahola and infant son and brother.

A funeral mass officiated by Rev. John P. Madden will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020, 10:00 a.m., at  St. Mary Church, 103 N. Maple Street, Orwell, OH 44076. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 9, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Paine Funeral Home, Inc., 140 E. Main Street, Orwell.
