Mildred Friend Obituary
Orwell – Mildred Friend, age 77, died peacefully, May 1, 2018 with her children by her side at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was born June 25, 1940 in Switzer, WV the daughter of Ernest and Wavie (Caldwell) Vance.
Mildred lived a simple but a full life. Her happiest moments were spending time listening to music and time with friends and family. She especially enjoyed her great grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons Emil (Mary) and John Kokavec, grandchildren Julia and Jessica Kokavec, great grandchildren Tyler, Konnor and Kaelynn, brothers Floyd and Dave Vance, sisters Betty May, Nancy Marcum and Brenda Sue Tackett.
She is preceded in death by her parents, grandson Emil Scott Kokavec, brothers Robert, Ezra and Ernest Vance, sister Doris, Darlene and Ruby-Helen Vance, Goldie Williamson, Pauline Williams, Beatrice Chmielewski.
A Memorial Service officiated by Rev. James Stanley will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018, 6:00 pm at Paine Funeral Home, Inc. 140 E. Main Street, Orwell, OH 44076. Visitation will take place prior to services from 5:00 till time of service.
