Helen M Sefcik

Helen M. Sefcik, 93, of North Bloomfield, passed away after a brief illness on June 27, 2017 with her family by her side.

She was born in Colebrook OH on December 15, 1923, a daughter of Frank and Mary Szewczyk.

Helen retired after 21 years of employment at H.K. Porter and was a life-long member of St. Mary Church in Orwell.

Helen loved the outdoors, lawn work, gardening and canning. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Stanley and Joe, two sisters; Rose Gedeon and Julia Zukany, and a nephew, Robert Jackson.

Survivors include her sister-in-law, Vickie Sefcik, four nieces; Mary Anne (James) Jackson, Barbara (Mike) Abenante, Patricia (Joe) Maciejewski, and Terry (Tom) Weeks, two nephews; Joe Sefcik and Alan Dale Zukany, and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Rev. John Madden, will be held on Monday, July 3, 2017 at 11:00am at St. Mary Church, 103 N. Maple St. Orwell, OH 44076.  Public visitation will take place at the church on the day of service from 10:00am to 11:00am.  Burial will follow at St. Mary Church Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105
