Dannie Ray Darling

Rock Creek – Dannie R. Darling, age 69, formally of Middlefield passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Hospice House of the Western Reserve. He was born on December 8, 1947 in West Virginia the son of Norman and Mildred (White) Darling Jr. 

Dannie was married to Betty Ann (Smith) Darling on May 6, 1995. He worked for High Tech Extrusion in the Maintenance Department and was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, trapping and fishing.

Survivors include his son Lester (Shelene) Darling, daughters Sherrie Darling, Brenda Powell, step children Joseph Froncek and Cindy (Pradeep) Raj, brothers Norman III (Karen), Randell (Anke), Charles (Sue) Darling, sisters Cynthia Morin, Cathy (Dave) Coffee, Debbie (Brian) Stephenson and Gail Raines, 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, step father Emanuel Mullins and grandson Jakub Hess, siblings Roxanne, Alfred Lee, and Ronnie Darling.

Visitation will be held at the Paine Funeral Home, Inc., 140 E. Main St., Orwell, OH 44076 on Wednesday, September 27th from 6:00 – 7:45pm. A brief prayer service will be held at 7:45pm. At the family’s request do not send flowers, please make Memorial Contributions in care of Betty Darling to help defer medical expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
