Susan A. Groudle-Kassay

Madison Township – Susan A. Groudle–Kassay, age 67, formally of Thompson, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at UH Geauga Hospital. 

She was born on June 23, 1950 in Cleveland the daughter of Charles A. and Beatrice M. (Delisle) Setzer.

Susan was married to Robert J. Kassay on September 22, 2001. Most of her life she was a homemaker, excellent chef and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Susan made it a point to attend the kids and grandchildren’s sporting events.

Survivors include her husband, children Gerry (Ruth), Charles (Mary), Ryan (Kaloni) and Ben (Salena) Groudle, Joy (Mike) Sidley, Beth (Jim) Turk, Robert (Tonia), Kristie, Jamie Kassay and Melanie (Frank) Lambert, 20 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and her nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents, late husband Gerald Groudle, Children Stan and Jeff Groudle, siblings Judy Cognata, Michael and Timothy Setzer.

A funeral service officiated by Rev. John P. Madden will be held at the Paine Funeral Home, Inc., 140 E. Main Street, Orwell OH 44076 on Saturday, September 23rd  at 10am. Burial will follow at the Colebrook Twp. North Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, September 22nd from 6-8pm.

Flowers - Please have delivered to funeral home by 1pm on Friday.
