Ruth Oleta Drown

Orwell - Ruth O. Drown age 92, died peacefully on December 21, 2017 at Blossom Hill Care Center in Huntsburg, Ohio.

She was born August 26, 1925 in South Euclid, Ohio to Peter A. Beedlow and Ruth L. (Schlegelmilch) Beedlow. She married James N. Drown on September 30, 1944.

Ruth and James ran a farm in Rome, Ohio, she also worked at Kennametal for 20 years where she made many friends. Ruth loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Orwell North Presbyterian Church and read her Bible regularly. Ruth volunteered at Geauga Hospital and spent over 2000 hours transporting patients.

Ruth is survived by her four children; James Jr. (Georgia) Drown of Madison, Ohio, Robert (Camille) Drown of Volga, South Dakota, Betty (Laurance) Mullen and Diane (William) Bradley of Rome, Ohio, eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband James, her parents, and three brothers, Joseph Beedlow, Jack Beedlow, and Peter Beedlow.

Funeral Services officiated by Rev. John Gehring- Anders will be held at Orwell North Presbyterian Church, 135 N. Maple Street, Orwell, Ohio 44076 on January 3, 2017 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at the Crosby Cemetery, Rome Twp., Visitation will be at the church 10:00 am to 10:45am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Orwell North Presbyterian Church.
