Nancy Jane Reider

Rome - Nancy Jane Reider, age 67, died on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at UH Geauga Medical Center. She was born on March 26, 1946 the daughter of Melville and Florence (Long) McCluskey in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Nancy was married to Jay B. Reider on June 8, 1973 and received her BA degree from Lake Erie College. She was self- employed, ran boarding stables and was a horse trainer. Nancy was the past President of Orwell Grand Valley Chamber of Commerce, Board Member of the Ashtabula Co. Farm Bureau, Board Member of Grand Valley Public Library, Chairman on Rome Zoning Commission and 4-H Advisor. She enjoyed attending the Rolex Kentucky 3 day horse event, genealogy, word search puzzles and loved all animals especially horses.

Survivors include her husband Jay Reider, brother Jay (Eileen) McCluskey, sister Carol Heeren and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Florence McCluskey.

Visitation will be held at the Paine Funeral Home, Inc. 140 E. Main Street, Orwell, OH 44076 on Sunday, January 26th from 1:00pm - 3:45pm. A funeral service will follow at 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, 4500 Rockside Road, Suite 440, Independence, OH 44131.
