Gerald Laurence Baird

Hartsgrove Twp. - Gerald Lawrence Baird, age 81, died on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Briar Hill Health Care Residence. He was born on September 14,1932 the son of A. Reed and Vera Ann (Minter) Baird in Fulton, IN.

Gerald was married to Eileen Weber Baird on December 7, 1997 and was employed with Uniroyal Chemical as a Welder for 33 years. He was a 50-year member and past Master of the Hartsgrove Masonic Loge No. 397 and a member of the Windsor United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife Eileen, children Gary (Sharon) Baird, David (Bonnie) Baird, Susan (Jeremy) DeWitte, siblings Norma Popovic, Geraldine Petree, Artis Baughman, Marjorie Caldwell, Judith Teel-Green, Terry Baird,grandchildren Gerald, Halle, Katlyn, Phillip, Benjamin and Adrienne.

Preceded in death by his former wife Charleen Potter Baird in June 30, 1996;son Jeffrey and brother Duane Baird.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Laurie Evinsky will be held on Thursday, January 30th at 10:00am at the Paine Funeral Home, Inc. 140 E. Main Street, Orwell, OH 44076. Burial will follow at the Hartsgrove North Cemetery. Calling Hours will held at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 29th from 5:00-7:00 pm. A Masonic Service will be held at 6:45 pm.
