Alta I Shetler

Warren – Alta I. Shetler, age 89, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Hospice of the Valley. She was born on April 5, 1928 in Bloomfield. The daughter of Leal and Jenny (Lepper) Welchmen.

Alta was married to Daniel J. Shetler on May 13, 1950. She was a member of the Cherry Valley Nazarene Church.  She had a smile that lit up a room and was loved by everyone who knew her. She was a great mother, wife and grandmother. She enjoyed baking and gardening.

Survivors include her children Chuck (Judy) Fenton of Southington , Robert Shetler  of Williamsfield , Alicia (Jeff) Webber of Warren , Karen Rabich of Warren , Brenda ( Ron ) Moon of Williamsfield , John (Lana) Shetler of Williamsfield , Pam Headley of Warren , and Mary ( Ivan ) Rodriguez of Ashtabula , brother Raymond Zedaker, 23 grandchildren , 47 great grandchildren , 25 great great grandchildren.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Daniel J. Shetler, sons Butch and Ronnie Shetler, grandchildren Chad Shetler, Alta Laudermilt, Barb Hammer, and several siblings.

Funeral services officiated by Pastor James Burns, will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Paine Funeral Home 140 East main St. Orwell Ohio at 11:00 A.M., burial to follow in Brownwood Cemetery, North Bloomfield.  Visitation will be on Thursday, February, 22nd at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00pm.
